The Mount Pleasant BIA is bringing back the Mount Pleasant Show N Shine for its third year, bringing together vintage mountain bikes, music, food, and community for a relaxed summer block party on East 7th Avenue between Main Street and Scotia.
This free, all-ages event celebrates cycling culture in Vancouver – from beautifully restored classics to everyday riders. It’s a chance to gather, show off your bike, or simply spend the afternoon enjoying the atmosphere, music, and neighbourhood energy.
This year, the event takes place right outside Main St Brewing, with the block coming alive from 12-4PM.
What to expect at the event
The Mount Pleasant Show n’ Shine features a mix of local food, drinks, music, and cycling culture:
MPFM and DJ Jumbotron will be spinning vinyl DJ sets all afternoon
Main Street Brewing will be serving beverages
Kobo Ice Cream will be on site with hand crafted ice cream
Rosie’s BBQ will be serving smoked BBQ
Project 529 will be offering on-site bike registration with the Mount Pleasant CPC to help protect against bike theft using their digital bike recovery system
This is a relaxed, community-focused street event in Vancouver where people can enjoy music, food, and bikes in a welcoming outdoor setting.
Vintage Bike Show N Shine – $5 Entry, Big Bragging Rights
The Show n’ Shine is a casual, community-led bike showcase open to everyone. Bike registration happens on site for $5, with no pre-registration required. Just show up and sign up.
