What is TEDxEast Van?
The event will be held on September 16th at the York Theatre on Commercial Drive. TEDxEastVan is a great opportunity for innovators, technologists, and creatives to share their ideas, to get them out beyond the conference room, and to take advantage of TED’s mandate of Ideas Worth Spreading. TED is a not-for-profit organization that believes in the power of sharing ideas to inform, to catalyze, to change perceptions and to change lives.
TEDxEastVan is a day-long event that brings together creators, catalysts, designers and thinkers to share their ideas worth spreading on the TEDx stage. A day of listening and connecting that invites thought, discussion and play, the TEDx talks are interspersed with activities, performances, and food worth eating. Each talk is recorded and available after the event for viewing via the TEDx YouTube channel. The theme for this year is “Human”. TEDxEastVan 2017 wants to celebrate the many facets that make us human: the connections and bonds we make with each other, the art that is born out of our experiences and imagination and our never-ending desire to learn and explore.
