Vancouver Mural Festival 2016: Artist Follow-Up

Vancouver Mural Festival 2016 welcomed close to 100,000 people to celebrate the creation of more than 35 new large scale murals in East Vancouver. Vancouver Mural Festival’s events and public art installations serve as catalysts for addressing a variety of cultural issues facing our city and artistic communities as well as highlighting local cultures and histories. These include but are not limited to public art policy, community building, environmental policy, reconciliation, highlighting Coast Salish history and culture, artistic censorship, diversity, cost of living, and the need for culturally sustainable development practices.

Artists come from all over the Lower Mainland and beyond. For more information about the artists participating in the 2016 Vancouver Mural Festival click HERE.
